The life of a cat isn’t an easy one. You have be completely clean at all cost, using your own tongue instead of a shower like humans. A cat needs to be alert at all times, ready to pounce whatever prey he sees. He needs to inform his human of threats. Needs to wake up his human more often than actual necessary and most important of all: he needs his beauty sleep every day at every inappropriate place possible. Like, (y/n)’s bed or her couch.

Today was an even more tiring day as today was your birthday. And birthdays mean quite some things to cats. Guests.. Iewl. Cake, yum. Punch or other alcoholic drinks. For Kid it was a yes, but Law still preferred coffee. Presents, which mean boxes to play with, of hell yes. But the most troubling for a cat is.. you don’t give him the attention it deserves after giving you a meaningful present. A present meant for you alone, one he had gotten himself. Or Kid in this case. He was oh so proud and laid his present in front of your sleeping form, very close to your face. “I’m sure she’ll like it.” Kid stated proudly, puffing up his chest as he walked out of your room, locking his eyes with the piercing ones of Law. “I’m sure she wouldn’t.” Law retorted, looking back at the page he was reading of one of your books.

“She will! And I’ll prove it!” Kid boomed, trotting back to your room to wake you. Law could hear Kid talking softly to you with his keen ears and his small lips formed a tiny smirk. A sudden shriek came from your room and Kid dashed through the kitchen and into the living room, hiding under the couch. “KID! Get your ass back here!” You scream as you bolted down, your fingers holding Kid’s little present between your fingers. Law eyed your just awake form and laughed before falling on his back, rolling from side to side. Kid’s head poked from under your couch, carefully eyeing your next move. “Why, Kid..? Why do you actually think I wanted to wake up next to a dead mouse.” You heaved out, glaring at the poor red cat. “I-it was a present.” He whispered, fully aware of how mad you could be and he didn’t want your wrath at the moment. You blinked and looked at him with a shocked expression, trying to process what he just said. “Present? Why?” You muttered, eyeing the mouse once again before jumping aside and dropping it from your grasp as adrenaline had left your system.

“It’s your birthday, (y/n)-ya.” Law said as he had regained his composure and jumped off the table he had been sitting on. His soft paws made its way over to you and he rubbed his cheek against your bare legs, his eyes wandering further up, seeing your panties under your nightgown. “Birthday..” You pondered and hit your head in realisation. “Oh god.. I should have bought cake yesterday.” You muttered defeated. “You.. don’t have cake?” Kid asked as he suddenly sat in front of you, pawing the air a little. “But I wanted cake.” He scoffed and looked to the side, eyes falling on the other cat that was still looking up with a slight blush. “The fuck are you looking at?” He growled, shaking Law back to reality as his eyes widened and stared at Kid. “Nothing!” You sighed and looked down, seeing Law and Kid sitting close and glancing up slightly. “Guys! Really?!” You yelled, turning on your heels and stomping towards your room to at least change.

“Kid, you idiot! I had a nice view.” Law scolded, hitting the younger cat with his black paw. “How was I supposed to know what you were looking at!” Kid scolded back, hitting Law with his red paw. “But it was beautiful.” Law hummed. “Yes.. it was.” Kid smirked with his little lips and licked them before pouncing on the older male. “But at least tell me when you can see them. I wanted panties time longer.” Kid whispered, seeing you coming back flustered. “Coffee.. I definitely need coffee this time.” You muttered, looking from one cat to the other and nearly launched yourself on the coffee maker. “Tight.” You suddenly heard and shook your head with a blush. ‘Please, tell me they’re not talking about..’ “It looks nice too.” A shudder ran down your spine, hearing their voices being closer than before. “How much do you squad, (y/n)-ya?” Law suddenly asked, looking up at you expectantly. “Law, I swear to my god of food and sleep, tell me you’re looking at something else than my bottom.” You muttered, closing your eyes and lifting your hands to conceal your burning cheeks.

Law licked his lips seductively and he heard Kid snickering. “No?” ‘Hormones, definitely hormones.’ You thought, smiling slightly as the machine in front of you beeped, signalling for you that the coffee was ready. “You’re even worse than Brook.” You muttered, taking a careful sip of the hot drink. “Who’s Brook?” Both cats ask and you dragged your waking body over to the living room, where the mouse still laid. Eyes cast down, you didn’t even jump from the thing on the floor and shoved it away with your foot. “Kid, you’re taking this thing away or you’re going to eat it. Now.” You demanded from the ginger and his answer a loud growl. “Kid.” A sigh left his lips as he eyed the dead thing in front of him and picked it up to dump it somewhere outside. Preferable near the fence where the neighbour’s dog always barked loudly, taking him from his beauty-sleep. When the ginger came back inside he jumped on your lap, purring loudly and looking up expectantly with his ember eyes. “Good, thank you, Kid.” You smiled down and scratched under his tiny chin, earning the loudest purr the male could muster. “Show-off.” Law whispered, glaring at the younger cat and pawed your sides.

Law literally forced you to put down your coffee and start caressing his soft fur from head to.. tail. With closed eyes, you enjoyed the affection you received from the little devils you had taken in. Thinking about it, you never ever got into contact with Doflamingo after that. A shiver ran down your spine as a small part of your mind wondered what he was doing now. His image flashed in your mind and a stronger shiver crept along your spine. Law and Kid sensed your little moment of distress and booped your chest and arm at the same time. “Love me.” They said and you grinned slightly as your eyes caught their faces. Your hands travelled over both their bodies, stroking the soft fur running over the small bodies. As your eyes trailed over to the clock on the wall, your face found itself in a scowl. ‘Nine. Great. They will be here in two hours and I still have to get some cake and clean up a little.’ The little whine leaving your soft lips made the cats perk up once again and Law frowned. “You need to go again, don’t you?” He asked accusingly and you gave a slight nod. Kid sighed, hopped from your lap before hissing lightly. Your shoulder slumped as you got to your feet, drowned your coffee and walked away to leave for the shop. “Be back soon, guys.” You muttered as you closed the door behind you and the cats looked at each other with a frown.

“She doesn’t like it, does she?” Kid asked, jumping on a soft pillow to lay down as Law jumped on the table, ready to lick the last remains of the coffee out of the mug. “Don’t think so.” He muttered, face head on in the mug. “You still have to give her a present, though.” Kid snickered as he looked proudly for accomplishing the task before Law did. Law’s head shot out of the mug, glaring down at the red cat. “Hush. I will.” The black feline frowned slightly, thinking about something you would actually enjoy before you got back. It took just a little while though, before he had thought of the perfect present, jumped down and trotted away, leaving the red feline behind. “Hey! Where are you going?!” He yelled after Law and the black feline looked back before smirking. “Catching a present.”

When you came back with the paper bags full of shopping and a cake in your hand, you quickly put them down and sighed softly, happy you reached your destination without a lot of troubles. High screeching caught your ears, just in time to see Law walk up to you with a life bird between his teeth, his tail held high. “What’s the meaning of this?!” You asked as you quickly took the poor bird from his mouth and looked for injuries. “Happy birthday!” Law chimed, happy he had delivered the present still being alive and well. “Law..” The black feline hummed his answer and saw you squatting down to his level, bird still in your hand. “Don’t do it again.” You muttered, flicking his ear lightly, shocking the poor animal. “But..” He started as you walked away to open a window. “No, Law. A dead mouse is one thing and something for Kid, but a living bird? No, just no.” You said, shaking your head as you released the poor thing. Law grew angry and agitated before he stormed off, out of your sight. “You made him mad.” Kid commented as you frowned. “I know.” You whispered and walked past the red feline, stroking his head shortly before getting to clean your house a little.

That evening you found the sulking feline on your pillow, head towards the window and ears flicking when you entered your room. Everyone had left and you carried a small piece of cake with you to share. “Law.” You whispered softly, letting him know once again you were there, not wanting to startle him. “Law, please.” Law demonstrated his frustration by sweeping his tail and turning his head away from you. “Law, I didn’t mean to anger you. It’s just.. I don’t expect any presents from you guys. Because..” You whispered the last part and Law turned his head to face you. “Because what?!” He nearly barked, startling you. You had expected this kind of behaviour from Kid, not from Law. With a sigh you stepped further to him, sitting down and reaching out to him with your hand. Law swatted and clawed at your hand, but you still didn’t retract. “Because both of you are a present to me. I like the way you act, even the little fights we share.” Law stopped biting and hitting you to look up and lock his eyes with your (e/c) ones. “Really?” You nodded and caressed his soft paw with you index and thumb. He casted his gaze downwards and rubbed his head on the skin he had torn.

“I’m sorry.” He muttered softly and your gaze softened. “Want some cake? I left some of it just for you. Even fought Luffy for it.” You smiled and Law snickered. “I heard that, indeed. You can curse like a sailor.” “HEY! I just.. Didn’t want you to be feel left out.” You said softly, averting your eyes from his staring gaze. A purr brought you back to Law who was booping your hand that held the sweet cake. “It’s not bread-based, right?” He asked, looking up at your face that shook slightly. “It’s not.” He started digging in and licked his lips contently afterwards. “Well, you’re not totally hopeless, I guess.” He said as he jumped down and smirked at you. “H-hey! That’s mean.” You said with a pout as you got to your feet and started your walk to the living room, where Kid was jumping from box to box. Law’s eyes widened a fragment of a second before he raced off and started playing with the boxes also, growling when he and Kid ended in the same box. You simply sat down on the floor and watched them having fun on their own.

The life of a cat is a difficult one, but with the right *cough* slave *cough*, it can be enjoyable. Law smirked as he pawed Kid’s head several times before being pounced by the furry red. As your laughter erupted, both pairs of eyes turned to you. They now pounced on your figure instead.

Aww, precious little kitties~ I would have at least thanked them for the, er, 'gifts,' but probs would have added that humans don't usually like those sorts of things. It was really sweet of them though ;w;
